How to make the best chocolate chip cookies for this Christmas

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 + ⅔ cups tablespoon of all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cups chocolate chips of your choice

Steps:

  1. First, Get your favorite Christmas-themed bowl and start by melting the salted butter (Careful! The butter shouldn’t be sizzling hot!!)
  2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180C)
  3. Once the butter has melted, whisk in the sugars (preferably granulated sugar to get that CRISPIER cookies!!) until well-combined
  4. Mix in the vanilla extra and egg with a spatula or anything that comes in handy
  5. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt (Stir in just until combined! You don’t want to overmix the dough!)
  6. Stir in your favorite Chocolate chips, then scoop the dough
  7. Place your cookies about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet or parchment paper
  8. Place in the oven for about 7-10 minutes, then remove from the oven and allow to cool at least 10-15 minutes before eating
  9. VOILA!

Caramel Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of all-purpose flour 
  • 1 cup granulated white sugar 
  • 1 cup brown sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 
  • 2 eggs
  • ¾ cups chocolate chips 
  • ¾ cups caramel chips

Steps:

  1. (You can simply follow through the same steps for making chocolate chip cookies above but add in some caramel bits together with the chocolate chips on step 6 or follow the steps below if you happen to have an electric mixer at home!) 
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (180C) 
  3. Add in butter, sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl. With your electric mixer, turn on medium speed until nice and creamy (roughly a minute)
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the baking soda, salt, and flour
  5. Then, slowly add the dry ingredients in step 3 to your butter/sugar mixture in step 2 with low speed. Scrape the bowl then increase speed to medium for another 30 seconds until the mixture is well combined. 
  6. Add chocolate chips and caramel bits to the dough then stir to combine
  7. Place your cookies about 2 inches apart on the baking sheet or parchment paper 
  8. Bake for 7-10 minutes, then remove from oven and allow cookies to cool down for at least 10-15 minutes before eating
  9. ENJOY!

How to make the best Sugar cookies for this Christmas

Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups
  • 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
  • ⅔ cups
  • 3 tablespoons of granulated white sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Rainbow sprinkles (optional)

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together butter and ⅔ cup sugar until combined
  3. Add in flour and vanilla extract. Blend well!
  4. With a cookie scoop, roll the dough into 1-inch balls
  5. Gently roll the balls in the remaining 3 tablespoons of sugar until lightly coated 
  6. Place them each to the baking sheet or parchment paper 2 inches apart 
  7. Press down your dough ball with a glass or cup 
  8. Sprinkle some rainbow sprinkles on the dough (optional but strongly recommended!)
  9. Place in the oven and bake for 14-16 minutes until golden
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for at least 10-15 minutes before eating
